Canada’s Drag Race is back! Season 6 premieres Thursday, Nov. 20 at 9 p.m. ET.

The queens (and king) have been announced for the upcoming season and they are ready to serve up looks under the big top!

The promotional lewks are our first glimpse into all the season will have to offer. Before the season begins, join us as CanCulture ranks each lewk from worst to best, in our humble opinion.

Unfortunately this was an Acadi-yawn for us. Her pronouns may be POU/TINE, but they are not SICK/ENING. The mug stays stamped, but we’d like to see a bit more in the fashion department. This lewk leaves much to be desired – à mon avis.

11. Dulce

This dancing diva has come to high kick the competition in a ringleader inspired outfit.

This wasn’t quite the serve we were looking for. This definitely did not top (hat) the leaderboards with the unfortunate resemblance to Tina Burner’s signature colour palette.

10. Velma/Johnny Jones

Is that a bird, is that a plane? No! It’s Drag Race’s first ever drag king!

Velma Jones also performs as Johnny Jones and judging by the abundance of materials in this look, she had enough fabric for both alter egos’ looks. Still, you can’t deny: this look has balls.

9. Mya Foxx

What does the Foxx say? Well, I can’t say she dresses well. We weren’t very obsessed with this look. We loved the accessories but the garment itself left us wanting more and well … less fabric and texture.

8. Saltina Shaker

Shaker? I hardly know her. This social media superstar is known to have a … trick up her … sleeve. Despite Saltina’s slick edits on TikTok, I can’t help but sympathize with Michelle Visage’s utter ennui with body suits.

Still, the dramatic purple cape and halo of stars saves Saltina from the bottom of the list.

7. Eboni La’Belle

We were living for the upper half of this look, but I can’t say we predicted what was on the bottom. This fortune teller-inspired outfit tells us everything we need to know about her — she’s sickening!

6. Paolo Perfección

The silhouette of this look is to d-eye for, but some of the elements weren’t quite polished enough to contend with our top toots. Her jawline is lethal and the stones are brilliant, but Paolo has some stiff competition that keeps this from being Perfección.

5. Van Goth

In a lilac dream, Van Goth has us Van Gagging. This look has definitely left a lasting impression(ism) on us. This Toronto queen is ready to show us what the life of a showgirl is really all about and we can’t wait for what’s in store.

4. Star Doll

This look totally declares: “a star is born!” The draping of fabric is expertly done, but the real showstoppers here are the fans and complimentary headpiece. The outfit is evocative of Vegas showgirls, but has Star’s signature stamped all across it.

The pose, the glistening tulle streamers, that slutty little thigh high, Star Doll is doing her Haus proud.

3. PM

PM will be the next PM of Canada and we’re voting in advance! They served up an avant-garde clown look and we ate it right up. The buttons and tassel details were among our favourite parts of the ensemble. We look forward to whatever gender-fuckery PM has in-store this season.

2. Karamilk

Gag-a-tondra.

From the structured shoulders to the panier shorts; the serpentine tails to the Venetian carnival arlecchino-inspired capital H-A-T, Karamilk clearly thought out every stitch of this look and the result is an untouchable first impression.

Karamilk positions herself as an early front runner for fashion queen of the season and (naturally) looks damn good doing it.

1. Hazel

All eyes on her in the centre of the ring. Hazel’s look has us gagging from the front row.

We’ll have to bet she’ll be the ring leader of the season.
