Fashion Art Toronto F/W 2024: A flashy finale to end it all

Fashion Art Toronto proved it’s possible to reinvent the wheel, creating its most immersive and enjoyable experience yet

The day of Sunday can take on a plethora of meanings and connotations depending on the person. Some people interpret it as the day before classes or work begin, bringing on those “Sunday Scaries.” Others like to view it as the day of rest and fully lounge around the final day of their precious weekend. However, the tight-knit fashion community in Canada sees Sunday as the final day of every Fashion Art Toronto (FAT) season.

As already pointed out, it felt that FAT had gone through a renewal of sorts with its new venue and area — a change that ultimately made the four-day event more accessible to the Greater Toronto Area public according to the whisperings of patrons I heard. With this new change, something that is dependable at these shows is the raw talent and high-level production on and outside of the runway. Nov. 17’s show saw returning and new designers showcase collections tailored to their creative identity. As the sky turned a blue-black shade, the lights and captivating designs shone through the night sky.
