Halloween transforms Church Street into the runway of our wildest dreams

From Abraham Lincoln to sexy mice and even Jesus Christ himself, Halloween always brings an absolutely absurd cast of characters together on the streets of Toronto. There’s no other event that can replicate the rush of opening the front door to a flood of people dressed to the nines. It’s the one time a year when anyone can be anything without fear of judgment, whether it’s outrageous, slutty, controversial or extremely geeky — the fashion world is your oyster on Halloween night.
Church Street has always been a staple location to celebrate Halloween in Toronto. From 7 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Halloween night, a section of the street is blocked off for locals and tourists alike to celebrate a night of spooky fun. The neighbourhood comes alive as the street gets thrown into fanfare, with spots like Crews and Tangos and Church St Garage being especially popular. Here is a glimpse into the delightful chaos that is Halloween night on Church Street.
